The globe CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Dr.Rüdiger Müller, and his team visited Shenzhen Jiuzhou Optoelectronics today. Dr.Müller and his team were warmly welcomed by the president of Jiuzhou Optoelectronics, York Xie. York Xie made a brief introduction about Sichuan Jiuzhou Electrical Group for Dr.Müller at Jiuzhou’s showroom. When talking about the scale of  whole electircal group, York described in a humorous way, “Compared with OSRAM, we are a small company.” “Actually, Jiuzhou has the same size compared with our company.” Dr. Müller said. Then he wrote on the guestbook, “Very interesting showroom!”

                    

At the conference room, Pricipals of Jiuzhou’s, Tiezhong Zhang and Issac Ho, met guests from OSRAM, accompanied by York Xie. Jerry Zou made a presentation about Jiuzhou for the guests. Jerry described our mission, culture, products and development strategies. Jerry also proposed cooperation proposals with OSRAM. Especially, he pointed out three suggestions on High Power LED Packaging cooperation.

 

Dr. Müller also made a presentation on OSRAM’s latest products based on opto semiconductor technology, and shared a market survey made by OSRAM. According to this survey, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is the second largest opto semiconductor manufacturer in the world, and its products are well commented for long life span and stable performance.

 

During the conference, principals from OSRAM and JIUZHOU, discussed the future development of LED encapsulation and chip design. They talked about the possibility of 200 lm/w high power LED chip. Dr.Müller pointed out, in order to reach a high luminous efficiency, designer must make a compromise to CRI. That means if LED chip reachs 200 lm/w, the CRI will be too low for lighting. He thinks that a chip efficiency in 150 lm/w is a reasonable target for the designers. Dr. Müller praised Jiuzhou for its technical research and manufacturing ability. He also expressed  that OSRAM is willing to build a cooperation relationship with Jiuzhou Optoelectronics.
